The processing of personal data is limited to data that is required to operate a functional website and for the provision of content and services. The processing of personal data of our users is based on the purposes mentioned below and on a legal basis (GDPR). We only collect personal data that is necessary to implement and process our tasks and services or if you provide data voluntarily.

II. Description and scope of the data processing

1. Provision of the website

very time our website is accessed our web-server automatically captures data and information from the computer system making contact with us, and places this data in what are called “log files”.

The following data is collected in this process:

  • Date and time of access
  • The user’s IP address
  • Information about the browser type and the version used

We store this information for a maximum period of 30 days. The data is stored for reasons of data security in order to ensure the stability and operational reliability of our system.

2. Web analysis

We analyze the use of our website with the open source web analysis tool Matomo (privacy policy can be found at https://matomo.org/privacy-policy/). However, the automatically collected IP addresses are anonymized before analysis. All analyses created are therefore based on anonymized data records and no personal evaluation takes place. Web analysis is used exclusively to optimize the website in terms of user-friendliness and to provide useful information about our services. This data is not merged with other personal data sources or passed on to third parties.

You can also prevent cookies from Matomo by selecting the “Only necessary cookies” button in the “Cookie information” pop-up that appears when you access the website. The use of Matomo cookies will then not be permitted.

3. Cookies

We use cookies on our website to make our offering more user-friendly. Cookies are small files which your browser automatically creates and which are stored on your terminal (lap top, tablet, smartphone etc.) when you visit our site. The cookies are stored until you delete them They enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit us.

The legal basis for processing your inquiry is Article 6(1), sentence 1, letter (b) of the GDPR.

We will delete your email address after your inquiry has been settled.

III. Data security

During a visit to the website we use the widespread TSL process in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. You can see whether the specific page of our website is being transmitted in an encrypted form by the closed representation of the key or lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

We also use further appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorized third party access. Our security measures are continuously updated as technology progresses.

IV. Your rights (rights of the persons affected)

You have the right to request information about any of your personal data we process. In particular, you have the right to request information about the purpose of the processing, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients who will have access or were disclosed with your data, the duration periods for saving the personal data, whether there is a right to adjust/correct, erase, restrict or object, transmission of data, the source of your data if not collected through us and if we use automatic decision-making technologies including profiling.

Additionally, you have the right to revoke a previously granted consent to use your personal data at any time.
